THE DATE OF YOUR BARN DANCE OR CEILIDH
Please let Fiona know the exact date for your barn dance or ceilidh, or a few possible dates if it's not yet finalised.  It's impossible to check band availability without a date!

YOUR VENUE
Name and address or at least the approximate location of your chosen venue, and whether the dance will be held INDOORS, OUTDOORS or in a MARQUEE or BARN. 

If the dance is to be in a marquee or outdoors, there are a number of very important aspects which will need to be discussed - i.e. flooring, space and layout, heat, power and light requirements, so do please do let Fiona know this when you first contact her. STYLE OF MUSIC
Any preference you may have for, say, SCOTTISH, IRISH, ENGLISH or AMERICAN styles of music, or if you'd like a good general mixture of all these styles (which is what most bands offer).  A few bands also offer incidental songs, but most do not. Fiona's own band JIGABIT offers this additional bonus - see the page about JIGABIT for a list of songs we cover in addition to the ceilidh and barn dance music.

APPROXIMATE IDEA OF YOUR BUDGET
This is not a trick question – everyone has a different idea of costs, and some people have more to spend than others. Giving Fiona guide to your budget speeds up the booking process, as she can offer the best possible option in your price bracket.
